Deryk J. Kendall

Born and raised in Delisle, Saskatchewan, Deryk is known as a leading practitioner in the area of family law, and had appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and all levels of Saskatchewan Court. Deryk acted as counsel on the Willick v. Willick, [1994] 3 S.C.R. 670 and Gordon v. Goertz, [1996] 2 S.C.R. 27, matters which continue to be cited as leading family law authorities.

He has extensive experience with respect to issues of divorce, custody, access, family property division, and adoptions. In addition to his busy family law practice, Deryk also practices general and commercial litigation, estate litigation, wills and estates, and real estate. Deryk has been recognized for his exceptional abilities and is rated by his peers as having a very high legal ability and high ethical standards, receiving a “BV Peer Review” Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Deryk has acted as a presenter with Saskatchewan Legal Education Society of Saskatchewan Inc., (SKLESI), Public Legal Education Society of Saskatchewan (PLEA), the CPLED Bar Admission Course, and has served as an instructor and lecturer at University of Saskatchewan College of Commerce on the subject of business law.

Deryk is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and the Canadian Bar Association. He has been involved in numerous charitable organizations both a member of the Board of Directors and as a fundraiser.

In addition to his professional affiliations, Deryk enjoys a broad range of sporting activities. He is a member of the Riverside Golf and Country Club, the Granite Curling Club, enjoys world travel with his wife Terry and visiting with his four children and their families.
