Articling Students

Interview Process

The interview process for new articling positions each year is generally coordinated through the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. The primary contact for prospective articling students with Cuelenaere LLP is Greg Kuse, one of the firm’s partners.

Diverse Experience

We offer a valuable, diverse and fulfilling articling experience at Cuelenaere LLP. Students have the opportunity of working closely with experienced lawyers and staff in a wide variety of areas of the law. We are a fully equipped modern law firm with all the expected resources, including online legal research, continuing legal education, legal assistants and an open door with all firm lawyers for advice and assistance.

Students can expect that they will be given an early opportunity to attend court on various matters, including criminal law and small claims trials as well as involvement with established lawyers on trials, chamber hearings and appeals.

While legal research is a necessary part of the articling experience, so is hands on experience with clients, contracts, business law matters, court appearances, real estate and other matters.

Other Benefits

We also recognize that social time together is very valuable. We regularly hold informal firm functions ranging from lunches, picnics, an annual golf tournament retreat and the like. We participate in Saskatoon Bar Association social functions and cover your annual membership costs. Our firm supports and pays for CBA Canadian Bar Association memberships for all lawyers and articling students. Continuing legal education is expected, encouraged and funded.

Please keep our firm in mind when applying for your articling position. We look forward to your application.
