Corporate Legal Assistant

We are seeking a full-time experienced Corporate Legal Assistant to start immediately.  We are looking for a talented team member who loves working with people and who is effective in a wide variety of functions.   • Managing administrative duties for a busy corporate lawyer 
  • File opening
  • Drafting and editing emails, letters and legal documents
  • Managing lawyers’ calendars
  • Corresponding with clients by email and telephone

What you need

  • Completion of a recognized legal assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Experience in corporate law including;
    • Experience with filing changes/updates and annual returns with Saskatchewan Corporate Registry and Corporations Canada and working with the ISC platform for Corporate Registry
    • Experience preparing annual maintenance package for Saskatchewan and federal entities, and related billings
    • Experience in drafting corporate resolutions and other corporate agreements and documents
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Acumin accounting software is an asset (not a requirement, any experience with accounting software would be an asset) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, energetic, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Well organized, assertive, diplomatic, and detail oriented with accuracy
