- Aboriginal Law Although many Residential School Claims by individuals against the Government of Canada and others have been settled, a number still remain. Our firm has settled a great number of the original Residential School Claims and continues to represent others who opted not to settle on the basis of Common Experience Payments.

- Bankruptcy & Insolvency The administrative side of bankruptcy matters is typically handled by accounting firms who are licensed as trustees. However, some bankruptcies may lead to court proceedings. A creditor may object to a bankrupt being automatically discharged. There may be a dispute as to who has priority over assets in the bankruptcy. A creditor may receive a proposal filed by a debtor through the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Act. Our firm has represented trustees, bankrupt parties and creditors in the Court of Queen’s Bench and Court of Appeal on these and other bankruptcy related matters.
