Tyler has lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, for close to 40 years. Tyler has appeared at all levels of court in Saskatchewan, filed written materials to the Supreme Court of Canada, and has represented clients before various administrative tribunals. In addition to his legal practice, he teaches Law and Psychiatry (Law 486), an interdisciplinary course offered by the College of Law and the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.
Tyler is actively involved in the legal and broader Saskatoon community. He is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan, Canadian Bar Association, Saskatoon Trial Lawyers Association, and has volunteered with several organizations, including serving on the Saskatoon Board of Revision and License Appeal Board (2018) and as a lecturer for the Public Legal Education Association (PLEA). He previously served as President of the Dufferin Place Condominium Association and spent over a decade as a radio host on Saskatoon’s CFCR 90.5 FM (1999–2012, and 2021-present). Additionally, he has shared his passion for education by presenting to elementary and high school students on “Hip-hop and the Literary Arts” (2006–2013).
