Preston was born and raised in Saskatoon. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law in 2023 and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2024. Prior to law school, Preston completed a Bachelor of Education (History and English) at the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Manitoba.

Preston maintains a general legal practice with a primary focus on civil litigation, condominium law, real estate, corporate and commercial matters, and wills and estates.

Outside of the office, Preston enjoys playing hockey, soccer, and golf, as well as spending time with his wife, Michaela, and his family.
