Born and raised in Outlook, Saskatchewan, Grant A. Richards is a highly respected litigator with a practice focused on general and commercial litigation, security realizations, foreclosures, and real estate law. He has successfully represented clients at all levels of court in Saskatchewan and is widely regarded as one of the province’s top litigators.
Recognized by his peers for his outstanding legal ability and high ethical standards, Grant holds a “BV Peer Review” Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a dedicated legal educator, having served as a presenter for the Saskatchewan Legal Education Society Inc. (SKLESI) and the Public Legal Education Society of Saskatchewan (PLEA). Additionally, he has instructed at the Saskatchewan CPLED Bar Admission Course in foreclosure law and previously lectured on consumer and commercial banking law for the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
Beyond his legal practice, Grant is actively involved in the legal and broader community. A former Chair of the Real Property Section of the Saskatchewan Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, he remains committed to mentoring young lawyers. He is an avid sportsman, having played as a goaltender on the gold medal-winning hockey team at the 2005 World Masters’ Games. He also enjoys supporting local sports teams, including the University of Saskatchewan Huskies hockey and football programs. Grant is a member of the Riverside Golf and Country Club and resides in Saskatoon with his wife, Wendy. He is the proud father of two children and grandfather to two grandchildren.
